Default New tires

So im thinking about getting some new tires. im thinking of doing it one of two ways. either just get some BFG AT ko's size 305/65-18 and mount em on my stock FX4 rims. the other option i was considering is getting some 17x8 ATX Mojave rims in that black Teflon coating. and mounting some 315/70-17 BFG AT's on it. i was wondering if theres anyone out there thats running thoose size tires on a 17x8 in rim with a back spacing of 4.5. will they fit alright without rubbing? i saw in the tire and wheel fitment guide that for a 35" tire on an 8" wide rim you need 5.5" of backspacing.

On the 8" wide wheels with 4.5 BS you will stick out 1-1/2 inches more then stock. With the 315x70's you may have problems rubbing the lower wheelwells when making hard turns. trimming may help the rubbing. The ideal wheel is a 17x8 with 5.5 BS, these stick out only 1/2 inch more then stock and keep the tires and wheel assy. inside the wheelwells and thus give you more clearance in the front. The more you stick out the more chances to rub with large tires.

These are when I had the 315x70's on my 17x8 wheels with 5.5 inches of BS. No rubbing at all.
