Welcome to the forum, I'm sure that folks will offer their opinions shortly. If you search around there are lots of comments about both those tires.

I just bought a set of ultra 201-202 baron wheels with wild country 285/70r17 mtx mud terrains. Love them but they are every loud on the street.

welcome! i am also brand new. I just purchased a set of Bf Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO. 285/70/17 I've read tons of good reviews on these tires. stock size was 275/65/18. I think your plan of 285/70/17 is perfect if you're not going to lift or level the truck.

will be getting these installed in the next few days and can give a first hand review.

I've seen many people getting the nittos. maybe too many. they're like XD's rockstar wheel. they were cool, until all your friends have them.
