Default Light weight wheels

Who makes the lightest wheels for a 2010 F150? I need a set for drag racing at the track.

What size wheels are you wanting? 15s would require way too much modification to justify IMO, but the smaller the wheel the better.

I could suggest some custom wheels but I doubt they are meant to hold the weight of our trucks so it's not something you could run on the street.

either 18s or 20s. I'll probably just have some Bogarts made.

If these are strictly drag race assemblies I would see if you can get some CCWs made in your bolt patter in 18" with some 335/30R18 The ones I plan I'm getting for my WS6 are 18x11 and only weigh 19lbs.

Obviously can't run that on street but it would work for trips down the quarter mile.

This is a very helpful post!!!!!!

I honestly can't tell you for sure what the lightest wheel available is. There are plenty of custom forged options if you want to spend money! They just came out with 6 lug race starts that are fairly lightweight.

As for low cost options all you can do is search online for cast aluminum wheels and compare weight. You should be able to find a 17" around 25 or so lbs.

I talked to True Forged fri afternoon they can make any of there wheels six lug and avg weight of a 20x9 is around 25#s depending on design 17x9 will be 20#s or lower. He also stated that the wheels will handle the loads of towing.

I'm not sure I'd want a 17x9 wheel for the front.....if I was drag racing. I'm sure they have the ability to make a 17x6 or narrower for a true drag rim for the front. I think the biggest problem would be the cost of a tire for it. I've seen that most of them are anywhere from 14" rims to 16" for the drag race community, but haven't seen anything bigger than that. If they weren't too expensive for a set I could see guys doing this at the track for their runs.

What does a stock rim weigh? around 35-40 lbs?

set of 4 17x9 $2800 20x9 $3200 factory 20s I believe are in the 40-45# range. With the weight of the 20x9 around 20#s and still being able to haul loads I will probably stick with that size.
