Default Help with Offset Wheels

Hey all,
I just put on a set of 35 Wrangler Duratracs on my truck. 2013 F-150 XLT with 2.5" lift in the front. The tires are rubbing on the control arm on the front so I'm looking at getting some offset wheels.
Is it easier to just put spacers in?
My buddy says that the rims I've got on there right now are a +44 and I should get a +1.
Anyone else have any input to add to that?
Thanks in advance

You could go negative rims. Will help get away from the inside

You can't go too negative without some serious trimming. I ran -12 wheels and 35s when I had my Autospring level and I trimmed sheet metal to clear.

A low positive offset wheel would be your best bet

Default 15 offset is perfect

I just upgrade to some american outlaw wheels and the tires came out about 1 inch and looks even with new bushwacker fender flares

i have 35 12.5 with a 2.5" level and -6mm offset and i had to trim a decent amount to make them clear. if you aren't looking to cut then i would go with a low positive offset to keep away from clearance issues.
