Default Help with offset

Ive been searching solid this past week as ive finally picked up a set of rubber and waiting a week or 2 to order my rims. I picked up a set of Mickey thompson atz 305-55-20's. Now im going to order Fuel hostage rims 20x9. But i was solid on the +14 offset but the company im ordering from said that MHT said they dont carry +14 anymore. I find this very unusual because +20 to +01 is a big jump. Now ive seen these offsets on a few f150's here but just having a hard time decide. The one ive seen with the +20 offset had no fender flares and seemed to stay flush with the top of the fender. Where the +01 stayed flush with the bushwacker fender flares. So im thinking the +01 sticks out almost 2"? Post up any pics if you have any of these set ups please. (front and rear view) my truck is a 2011. thanks

*edit how is my math? lol, 19MM difference is 3/4". So if i am correct the 01 offset will stick out past the top of my fender 3/4"? or would it be more due to backspacing also?

I can't help you with the math but I can tell you that if you don't do a positive offset then you will have pretty serious rubbing issues with the 305 tires even with a 2" level. For some reason XLT trucks seem to allow their aftermarket wheels to stick out more then the FX4 trucks therefore causing more inner fender rubbing issues.

yea i want to stick with positive offset, so either +1 or +20. Forgot to mention truck has 2.5" level in front AAL in rear and yes my truck is XLT. My stock 18" chrome clad rims pretty much almost fit flush with my fender now. Any one have an idea what offset and backspacing it has?

does backspacing push the rim out more at all? I did some digging, and from my stock 18" rim, to a +1 offset rim, the offset difference would be 1.75" but the backspacing is 5.5" to 5" so im wondering if that would push the rim out more also.

I had ordered up +20 fuel rims but Fuel has no idea where they are (in transit and cant find them) and they dont have any more in stock so i might see if they have +01 offset but just a little worried they will stick out to far and fling rocks up the side of my truck

Yes. I just picked up +18 offset with a 285 tire and they stick out about 1.5 inches. Just right in my opinion. A stock rim is around +44 offset. I really can't help you with backspacing but as long as you are purchasing a popular style wheel you can pretty much just go by the offset and you will be fine.

Your Fuel wheels with a +01 will stick out a good bit. Especially if you are going to run a 305 or a 12.50 tire.

thanks, i was actually able to get my +20 offset rims, just have to wait for fuel to get them in stock on wednesday. Been waiting on them for 3 weeks, they were suppose to ship my rims out and they got lost some where. So now i have to wait even more. But i think i will be very happy in the end.
