Default curb damage

Pissed myself off today and nailed a curb, I've never messed up a tire before, so i don't know how much damage tires can take. I'm looking for advice if i need to replace it.

Side wall damage is not repairable. I'd replace that tire as soon as you can. Some guys might say they would run with it but I wouldn't. The rim I don't know. Maybe find local rim place and see if they can repair it.

That looks fairly deep on the sidewall. I would replace it asap.

I would only drive it if absolutely necessary. And before you do that, check the pressure in your spare because you may be putting it on the road soon. I'd get it replaced stat - I hope you have road hazard warranty!

The rim is DEFINITELY repairable so don't stress about that.

The tire, valve stem and wheel must be replaced. I have not seen wheel repairs made with that extensive damage (gouged). You will need an alignment also. The damage amount may be greater than your collision deductible.

That wheel can DEFINITELY be repaired. I've seen an almost brand new pair of 20" Jaguar XKRS rims absolutely gouged to hell and then repaired to flawless like-new condition. So good that we were actually told that they were new rims....that is until the car went through a high pressure touch-less wash the next day....and all that hard work got blown clean off the wheels again, hahaha.

Tire's probably in need of replacement; peel up the chunk and see if you can see the chord underneath. Even if you can't, and you have a big drive ahead of you, I'd replace it.
