Default Cooper STT PRO

I have looked on this site and read many great review on the STT Pro and have finally decided to get some myself. I was wondering if I could get an update on how they wear and y'alls personal experience with them. As for me I am either going to go 325/65r18, 305/70r18, or 295/70r18 whichever one requires the least amount of trimming and rubbing. So whatever experience, good or bad, would help me greatly. Thanks in advance.

I just got a set of 295/65/20 Cooper SST PRO installed on my truck about 3 weeks ago. Obviously it's to early to tell but the manager at the tire shop that's a friend of mine runs them on his Tacoma and said that I should expect to get 50-55k out of them. I would be thrilled if I get 50k out of a set of mud tires.

also looking at a new set. currently on 325/65 18 firestone MT. I have offset as well and the tires are just about even with the bushwacker flares. They do rub at full lock tho even with 6" lift fyi so I will be going narrower. please let us know how the coopers work out !!

I bought my truck back in June 2016 with a set of 35x12.5x20 STT's on it. PO said they had about 30k miles on them at that time. Since then I've put almost 9k on them and they still look like they day I bought them. Currently just under 40% tread.

I like them. They are relatively quiet compared to other off road tires I've owned, have good wet and dry traction, and seem to do well off road. No problems in sugar sand or the little amount of mud I've had them in.

If they can get anywhere near 50K they will hands down be my next tire!

For how aggressive they are, I'd be happy with 30-40k.

I got a set installed 305/70 r18 it came out to 1600 tax in CAD at local tire shop

I did a bit of trimming to front fascia and it only rubs at full lock over bumps at where the front mud flaps (removed) mount. I think this is unavoidable just the way the fenders are designed. Im also on a 6" lift as well, ad have 20mm offset i forget but the tires dont stick past the bushwhacker pocket flares.

Also, I would like to add.. dropping to a 305 from a 325 I think helped the most in snow. I found the 325s floated a bit too much. The narrower tires help alot.

Alot less road noise from any other mud tire i've run..but the duratracs are much quieter I found.

They are a bit tougher compound mud tire than others I have found, and also it looks like each individual lug, or tread has siping grooves cut into them. Its not very deep so I expect any benefits of that to go away after a few thousand k. I have had great success with doing my own siping with MT tires in the past so maybe it can be done down the road if it is a little too slick in wet conditions.

But for 1600 tax in I am very satisfied. They are an all around great tire. The only negative I found was in minus 30 Celsius they acted like any mud tire but not as bad as some!
