Default Cooper STT Pro??

Have only sold one set but I agree they look great. The STT has to be the best mud tire I've ever had on wet roads and the Pro is supposed to be a little better. Hopefully they make it in my size by the time I need new tires.

I had the STTs and they had awesome traction in any condition I had them in, except on ice of course. The only thing I did not like is that they didn't last me more than 25k miles. I'd like to try the Pros but I'm worried about the mileage I'd get out of them.

I have been looking into them as well. From what I have read, it seems like they are supposed to be an overall improvement over the STT, in traction and tread life. I really like the weight considering the sizes they are in. Really light and still E rated compared to other sizes in D rated.

And you still get the 3-ply sidewall.

I have them in 285 70 17 and I really like them. Pretty quite for their agrrssiveness. Haven't been in any mud yet as its super dry this year but they have been tough as nails on rocky roads.

Looks like they can be a good competitor for Goodyear MT/R and BFG MT.

OP not trying to steal your post...but can anyone give me a comparison between the STT PRO and the Mastercraft MXT?? Im torn between those 2. My main concerns are I drive on the highway a lot so I want the ones that will last the longest mileage wise and the quietest of the 2. I know that both may not fit this criteria. My other concern is I was looking at the 295/60/20 STT PRO over the MXT due to it being 1" narrower and I believe that would cut down on my rubbing issues vs the 12.5" wide. Also the MXT are at minimum $50 a tire cheaper. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Both are pretty new so mileage reviews will be hard to find. I can say that cooper makes mastercraft, but use a lesser rubber compound and has a standard two ply sidewall. The stt pro has a 3 ply sidewall and a supposedly longer lasting rubber compound. I can say they aren't very loud for how knobby they are.

Randall1111, did you end up with the MXTs? I think I'm going to go with those but wondering if you (or anyone else) have more mileage info since last year.
