I have a 13 FX4 and was looking at the BDS leveling kit can you run the stock 20's on 35x12.50 on that kit?

I went with the rancho quick lift and they claimed it would clear 35 12.5 18s but I severely doubt that as I went with 315 70 17s which are smaller yet and I had some considerable amount of trimming to do and I will still have to be careful off road.

On BDS website its saying you can clear 35's with minor trimming of the bumper valance and they recommend 17x9 wheels but i like the stock 20x8.5 and was just concerned if it would be a problem running the bigger rim

Your problem will be clearance between the upper ball joint and the tire itself. With a tire that's two inches wider and the stock off set you may have contact. I don't have any experience with oversized rubber on stock rims, sorry I couldn't help.

But the tire itself is still going to be 35 inches and the wheel will actually be not as wide only 8.5 inches

The width of the tire is what will get you. The stock tires are around 10.5 the additional with of a 12.5 may cause contact with your upper ball joint and frame at full lock.
