Ballistic Off Road Wheels Question
I was wondering if Ballistic Off Road makes quality wheels and I also was wondering if anyone has the Wizards or the Hostels in black? One final question is should I go with 17's or 18's? Are there more tires available in one size over the other. I plan on starting with 33x12.5 tires. Thanks in advance for the help I'm new to trucks.

Wow...I'm suprised nobody has replied. I don't know if that is a good thing or not haha! I'm actually looking at the same exact wheel size, an 18X9 in the Hostel by Ballistic or maybe the Moto metal 951 in black. I really hoped to see pics of the hostel on somebody's truck but I can't find any pics with these wheels on this forum. Check out the Moto Metal's also.
Hello guys,
Maybe I can help. I have Ballistic Jesters on my Truck.
The Ballistic Brand is solid. They've been out for a just about a year now. Ballistic is being built by a company named Panther. Panther builds Akuza, Martin Brothers wheels, Panther and a bunch of other wheels for random brands. I haven't heard any complaints except for some issues with finding them in stock. Let me know if I can help.
z28Camero010, you may find that 17" tires are less expensive if you are on a budget. What type of tire are you looking for? AT, MT? How many miles do you drive per year and in what conditions?

Any idea what offset is available for the ballistic wizard??? I'm having a difficult time finding a website showing the offset they're available in. Looking to purchase them within the week but I'm torn between two sizes of tire and I don't want the tire to stick too far out of the fender...but I'm equally afraid of the tire not sticking out at all giving a "stock" look. I'm considering the nitto terra grappler in a 305/60-18 and a 325/60-18. Also, iv'e gone through gallery pics and am having a hard time determining really how far out some of these tires stick out. What do you think??? Maybe a 305 if the wizard has a -12mm offset? It would be "more dish" to stick the tires out more?
In the 6-135 PCD, the Wizard is offered in the 18x9 size with a 0mm offset (5" B/S) and +30mm offset (6.18" B/S). I think the 0mm offset is to aggressive for the look you are after. The 30mm offset will put the face of the wheel flush with the fender. If you run a 305/60-18 (approved size for a 9" wide wheel) this will stick out just slightly past the fenders.

Thanks for your help sir...that actually helps a ton and is good information. I actually talked to some of your guys at america's tire, and they recommended the same as what you just explained. They said I would get tire rub with a 325 series (only having a 2 inch leveling kit), especially with the 0mm offset, and that those tires are primarily for lifted trucks. I think I've decided to go with the 305/60-18. Going to try and order wheels and tires tommorow so I can have them on by the weekend. So I guess the only remaining thought is, just how little will these tires stick out of the fender with the 30mm offset? Maybe a half inch??? What's the guess with the 0mm?
Mathematically speaking, the +30 offset and 305's will stick out +/- .25" With the 0 offset, the 305's will stick out +/- 1.25".
