3" Leveling Kit
I have a 3" leveling kit for my 06' f150 and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. What is the biggest tire I could put under my truck without rubbing if I am going to put 20" rims on? Also, what size off-set do I need to keep the tires from sticking way out?
33" tires on 2WD
35" tires on 4WD
3" leveling kits aren't recommended as already stated, if you haven't added it yet may want to see if you can trade it in for a 2.5" kit.
The stock wheels have 5.5" of backspacing on them so if you add a wheel with less backspacing they'll stick out more. Also you're probably going to be adding a wider wheel so you have to take that into consideration when determining how far your new wheel will stick out. Stock wheels are 7" wide so a 9" wide wheel is alreayd going to stick out 2" past what the stoick wheels do. Add to that your backspacing and you'll come up with how much you're going to stick out over stock. Hope that helps.

why are 3" leveling kits not good?
I have a 05 F150 LXT the front sits at 35.5 at the front fender well and the rear sits 39" . I would like to see it even. I was lookin at one at 4wheelplus 3" leveling kit
any info would be good
thanks

I may be wrong but when you level out the front or lift the front 2.5" the rear is going to squat just a little.....is this true?? I was thinking that this is why the rear would look level with the front by adding the 2.5" spacer.
I went with 2.5 leveling kit on my 05 excab 4x4 with 285 70 17 coopers tires
they fit well and I have about 1.5 to spare between my tire and wheel well
It has a good look about it now and this week I am going with K&N 77 intake
