275/65-18 to 275/70-18. Worth it ?
Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2013 STX 5.0 3.55 gears. Really enjoying the truck so far. I am wanting to change the tires on the truck to get a better grip when I go off road. I have narrowed it down to Nitto TG or BFG AT. My question is it worth going from stock size 275/65 to 275/70 ? I am wanting a little bigger tire but want to make sure it still fits and no rubbing. Just seems like that extra inch may not be worth it after paying the dealer to recalibrate it. Thanks for all the help.

That will be so tiny you will not notice any differance. If you want a larger tire that isn't the answer. You will not have anything close to a rubbing issue if you do go with that tire.
I certainly wouldn't waste time on a re-cal for such a small difference either.

I went from stock SR-A's in 275/65 to Nitto Trail Grappler in 275/70. I did notice a difference in MPG and rolling resistance. I do have minor rubbing wile turning in reverse. At the time I was just looking for a LT tire and not much in height, The Nitto's did make the ride firmer and gave me more control in terms of turns and cargo.

I put cooper discoverer s/t maxx 275/70's on my truck and I have no rubbing at all. The added inch looks pretty good I think. At least compared to the stock sr/a's

Thanks for the pics everyone. Been lots of help. So does everyone think its pointless to recalibrate since the sizes are so close ? Sorry for the newbie questions just didn't want all my mileage to get messed up. But it seems it won't be that big of a factor.
