Default 2 Questions

1. I have an 07 XLT 4x4. How do I tell if I have tpms or not?

2. I have factory 17 in rims on my truck right now. Would I have any problems if I switched to some factory 18's?

thanks

TPM will have metal up near the cap. The threads will alway be metal but the TPM will have another cone going from the diameter of the threads to the diameter of the rest of the stem.

If you go with any other wheel and have a TPMS then you just need to buy wheels with them in or buy 4 new stems for the new wheels. They are arond $10 each from the dealer or a larger auto tire shop should have them in stock.

Good luck.

P.S. If you have them and want to save $40 you can take the sensors and tape them inside of the spare tire. Then the computer will be happy and you don't have to deal with the stupid TPMS any more.

No there wouldn't be any issues changing the wheels. Just make sure the tires aren't any more then 3 inches taller then stock. I would assume you are getting stock wheels and tires in 18" and if that is the case they will fit without an issue.
