USB and USB2
Did my USB2 install yesterday evening. It is so nice not having the ipod cable visible anymore!
Something strange... Sync would NOT work with a device in USB and USB2. I thought that was strange. When one was plugged into USB for example, it would not recognize a device later plugged into USB2. If I started Sync with both devices plugged in, it would only recognize USB; yet USB2 would provide power (I could see my ipod charging).
i found this out after taking off and putting back on the dash cover 4 flippin' times. i had the bright idea - AFTER I already replaced everything - to switch the cables. So, USB would be in my console and USB2 would be in the dash. First of all, the USB cable doesn't easily fit into USB2. But I forced it in there. After testing, one side or the other wouldn't work. Each time, I'd put the plate back on (doh!!!).
Anyways... Now USB is USB and USB2 is USB2. But can't operate two devices. Same for ya'll?

I haven't pulled the fuse... but what I learned was, Sync doesn't like two ipod devices. If I used a flash drive in USB and ipod in USB2, no problem. But two apple devices and it gets finicky. Then again, resetting sync may be the simple solution.
