Upgraded my 2020 from 8" to 12" Screen (Car ABC) - Definitely Worth It
I know a lot of guys on here go the route of retrofitting the OEM Lincoln display, but I decided to go a different direction and pulled the trigger on a 12-inch aftermarket screen from a company called Car ABC. Honestly? I am super stoked with how it turned out and wanted to drop a quick review for anyone on the fence.
Here’s my breakdown so far:
• The Hardware: Just to clarify, this does not use the original Lincoln display. It's a completely standalone aftermarket 12" unit from Car ABC.
• Installation: Pretty straightforward plug-and-play setup. You don't need an engineering degree or to hack up your dash wiring to get it running. Fits into the bezel perfectly.
• Functionality: The screen is massive and super responsive. No weird lag when swiping. Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto hooks up instantly when I start the truck, which was a huge deal for me. The audio quality is solid, and it retains all the necessary controls.
• Look and Feel: It honestly completely transforms the cab. It looks flush and legit, not like some cheap tablet glued to the dash.
If you are looking to ditch the 8-inch screen but don't want to deal with the headache or the price tag of an OEM Lincoln swap, give the Car ABC unit a look. I've been running it for a bit now and I'm extremely satisfied with it.
Let me know if you guys have any questions about the install or want to see some pics!
