yeah, well i dont exactly live somewhere where i have to worry about theft. if someone stole them from my town id probably know in about a week. lol. good thing about small towns. but yeah it would make me pretty nervous if i ever go to the city and and leave my truck unattended for long.

ive got a 99 ext cab too and i just grabbed a three square foot, dual twelve, ported box and flipped the seat behind me down and stood my box right up there with some bungies keeping it up. It works pretty good and only lose one seat for two twelves you can kinda of see what im talking about in this pic

yup i got the idea to do that about a week ago, sounded like the best compromise i could do without removing my backseat. think im gonna do it next month.

can you remove the 60 side of the backseat and build a box for 2 12's to fit there? i did that in my truck but im not sure how the seats are mounted in the 99's.

yeah i was thinkin that at first, but me and some friends are always in my truck on weekends, and i hate to have that much of my backseat gone. id rather just take that 40 side out. but it sure would be cool if i did take the 60 side out.. just not all the time. i dont know i cant decide lol

the way i have mine now is 2 40 seat bottoms with a sub box for a single 12 in the middle. kinda similar to bucket seats but the backrest still goes all the way across. it may be possible to fit 2 12's in there like that but im not real sure.

just take it to an audio shop and they should be able to make you a two 12's seat for the back. the 12's will face forward and the whole box will have a thin coushion on it for a seat.

yea same here i live in a not-so-big town so i really dont have to worry to much about my subs being exposed, and under the seat boxes dont sound NEARLY as good and a big ported one considering your box is the most important part of your system.
