Default sub advice

I have a xplorer 12in sub. And i plan on building a sealed box for under the rear bench of my scab. So my question is will the floor affect the sound quality of the sub considering the magnet will only be about 2in off of the floor?

If the sub is in a sealed box it won't make a difference how close the magnet of the woofer is to the cab. Just make sure the rubber on the cone of the sub is not touching anything.

Just make sure the rubber on the top of the cone of the sub isn't touching anything or it will cause the sub to fire incorrectly and it will blow.

As long as the sealed box has the right amount of space the sub requires, the shape of the box isn't important
