Default Stock speaker replacement

I have the Sony in dash nav.

I want to replace the stock speakers only.
What should I use ?
Will I hear a big improvement?

Many choices out there. Depends on your budget. Yes you will hear an improvement.

I have the same, Sony/nav. The Sony system seems to distort heavily at higher volumes. I am thinking the same as to try swapping the door speakers, and sub out first, for a more efficient and clearer sounding speaker using all factory locations.

I'm looking at Infinity, Polk, & JL Audio.

simply replacing the door speakers with different coaxials ran off your head unit will give you better sound but nothing remarkable. to truly notice a huge difference a properly setup component system with sound deadening on your doors would be the best bet

Ok, thoughts from you guys ...
Infinity 6832cf ($120) or Polk db571 ($150)

Specs are very similar on Cruthcfield and they will be powered by the head unit only. I know they will sound better than stock, but will the average person (thats me) even notice a difference between the two?

Lastly if you recommend something else similar in price with better performance, I'm all ears! Thanks!

You really can't go wrong with either speaker. They are both solid choices. I know Crutchfield is running a sale on the 6832cf for 59.99 a pair. I haven't heard the Polk's in our truck so I can only speak to the Infinity's. You'll be happy with either choice.

for you being an average audio person youll defiitely hear and like the difference. ive heard both setups ( in a tacoma not f150) but doesnt make any difference, out of the 2 i liked the polks a little better personally. but like brewcity said, you cant go wrong with either setup

I am a JL fan but prefer Focal for components. I run the JL HD amps and their subs though.
