My speaker just blew on my 2010 platinum. I have the Sony system with Navigation. I'm looking at different speakers to buy and there are so many different types. Do i need to upgrade both the tweeters and speakers? Should I get coaxial speakers for replacement? I really only need 1 speaker and would like to keep it under $100. I can replace both the fronts if needed. I definitely do not want to get another stock sony speaker.. Can you guys recommend some decent speakers for me? Keep in mind I will not be changing the back speakers or the sub

 

You'd shouldn't need to replace both the tweeters and mids but speakers typically have the potential to sound better if replaced as a set

if your budget is $100 your choices are many for both a coaxial set (and keeping your Sony tweeters) or components (and replacing all 4 front speakers to keep the set together)

 

Replace both fronts with good coax speakers. The tweeters will be fine. Many good options for under or close to $100
