Well we had some internet connection issues that burned most of our time....got tweeters and mids part done, TBC this Tuesday......

I may play with REW, but not make any changes....pretty impressive for a free program for the masses. NOT overly impressed with AC software for DSP

I enjoy pulling up my frequency responses in rew, going to the EQ tab and trying to manually eq the results with as few of bands as possible. You can also do this pre-crossover or too wide of crossover and try to really get your crossovers frequency, type (LR or butterworth, or one of the other options), and slope (6, 12, 24, 36) perfect. Note, you will have to stack two 12/db crossovers to get 24db crossovers if that is required. When REW does it automatically via the match response, it does a decent job. But I find I usually can do the same with less bands of EQ.

Remember, the crossover type and the slope does not matter for the dsp settings other than protecting the speakers (don't cross too low). All that matters is does the speaker response match acoustically a 24db/oct acoustical curve.

All tuned by Dom.....sounds great after a little tweaking. Now for some self induced headaches!

Had a power supply fail on my sub amp--a phonecall or 2 and its all back up as good as new in about 6 days! AC customer service is TOP NOTCH!!!! Thought my truck was on FIRE when it went! i have softened the highs with the OEM adjustments in the head unit....I like it even better now.
