pac aoem-frd24 question????

Ok so I thought I had it all figured out but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's input and output on the pac unit and where to cut and splice the speaker wire from the amp to. If someone is familiar with this unit could you please elaborate on where to cut within the harness. I know I want the speaker wire from the amp to tie directly into the wire going to the speaker without going into the headunit but I can't figure out how to do this without messing up the rca outputs. Thanks again for any help.

If you haven't seen this thread already, it helped me out quite a bit, understanding how to cut the PAC wires and run an external amp without messing with factory wiring:

This takes you to page 4, which has a good YouTube video towards the bottom.

I just did this setup and ram wires from the amp to the PAC and spliced at the PAC. The PAC should have came with a one page paper that talks about the wires. If not you can grab off their site, just google it.
Basically on the PAC harness, cut and splice the wires that are closest to where they harness plugs into the trucks stock harness. I cut about midway through the wire, electrical taped the end that goes into the PAC and spliced, heatshrinked the wires from the amp to the wires that go to the connector that plugs into the f150's factory harness.
Hope this helps.

No problem. Just PM me if you have any more questions.
If you have access to or can buy online "9 conductor speed wire", it may help with keeping things organized and it's easier to run from the PAC (behind radio) to the amplifier. If you are installing already or need ASAP, I used 18 ga wire and just labeled everything really well so I didn't mix up a wire or two.

I changed the wording. I wanted to make it clear that you are NOT splicing all three wires together, only two.
"Basically on the PAC harness, cut and splice the wires that are closest to where the harness plugs into the trucks stock harness. I cut about midway through the wire, electrical taped the end that goes into the PAC, to seal off the ends. Then spliced, heatshrinked the wires from the amp to the wires that go to the connector that plugs into the f150's factory harness."
Electrical tape doesn't hold up well in a hot car on a sunny day. The glue softens and the tape will loosen. That's why he's using the shrink wrap on the important connection.
