Default Need Help/Advice with new Sub install

I have a 2012 FX4 with the upgrade Sony Nav. Sync system. I am about to install a new 12" Pioneer Shallow mount subwoofer. I purchased a mono amp to power it. I have read other threads that have touched on the fact that you might need to add additional wiring and/or EQ. But I have yet to find a definite answer for my truck. I know the basics, but I am not real advanced with my car audio knowledge. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you need a wiring kit for your amp. Don't skimp on it - a 4 gauge kit will have everything you need including the fuse and it won't break the bank either.

If you're not adding door speakers than I'd suggest you just use the wires already going back to the factory sub under the rear seat. Either get a LOC to get the wires in RCA format for your amp or purchase RCA cables that can be directly spliced into the factory speakers. Send it to amp, out to new sub and enjoy.
