I was looking at the Fox accoustic dual 10 box. I was wondering if anyone knows if a Alpine type R 10 will fit inside box? The box says mounting depth of 6.25 and on crutchfield it says the type r has a top mounting depth of 5 7/8. Im not smart when it comes to this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it will fit. Top mount means it will sit in the hole from the top.

No, the fox box has a cutout diameter of 9 1/8 the speakers diameter is 9 3/16 , 1/16 larger than the box. A penny is 1/16 of an inch for refernce. Those are likely rounded numbers,but if you don't have a way of trimming the hole you might be in trouble.

Have you looked at supercrewsound they state: "If you need your subwoofer box hole cutout modified, just let us know and we will do that for free." You should ask Fox Acoustics if they'll do the same for you.

Windup i just noticied that. I have ordered both the box and speaker. Im hoping the shop i get to install will trim the box out. I dunno either that or im sending the speaker back. Thanks for your reply.
