Default power wire location

2015 ford XLT sport screw. Wiring a amp and sub to my truck. My only obstacle seems to be the power wire location thru the firewall on the passenger side. I see a protruding nipple right above a mass of wires going thru behind the distribution block? Can I cut this off and run my power cable or any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I cut off the nipple but still can't get a wire in there. I was going to try to drill it out but afraid I was going to screw something up any ideas?

Can you get in with a coat hanger?

don't drill anything. it is just rubber. you can make hole a little larger and use a coat hanger to pull your power wire thru

There is a little seal inside of the nipple . I used a screwdriver to poke through mine. After that I used an old piece of small wire taped to my power cable to pull it through . I imagine a short length of coat hanger would work too .

also use something slick like suntan lotion at the end of the wire you are pushing through to help it slide through the hole...

I put a coat hanger in there but I must have hit something. The truck is throwing codes up and won't crank now. Had to get it towed to the shop. I don't know if I hit something or what. The dealership changed the oil yesterday and I drove it home but now won't start. I was very careful with the wire though. We'll see.

I'm very curious to hear the outcome on this. Was it a cut wire that caused the dead truck? Did you run the power wire through the passenger side successfully?
