My Xlt Install
I did a pretty simple install
New Pioneer GM-D1004 Amp
New 6x9 front door speakers Polk DB651
New A-pillar tweeters Polk DB1001
Rear door speakers Polk DXI651 ( I already had these )
Pioneer Subwoofer box UDSW250T
Alpine MRV-500 Amp
Kenwood KFC-XW1000F ( I had this already or I probably would have bought the Pioneer TS-SW2502S4
Parrot FOR-11CK wire harness.
The small pioneer amp has plenty of power for the door speakers and tweeters (gets loud) I wanted a subwoofer and would like 2 10's but I wasn't going to give up my floor space to get them, and honestly it has plenty of thump for a small enclosure.
Thanks to the many great people on this site who have excellent write ups that I referenced for this install.

Did you do anything with the center speaker?
How about a pic of the tweeters & how did you get them mounted?

I just disconnected the center speaker, no need for it once you amplify the doors and tweeters.
Some tweeter pics, I took the factory tweeter and pried to top off of it so i could use the factory plug portion ans soldered the new tweeter leads to it.
Then used plumbers strap to hold it in place.

Mass Effect
Agreed with the center channel. Will probably do more harm than good as it's not a "true" center channel and is just reproducing both left and right signals. Once you get some proper speakers and amp in there, a cheap speaker in the middle will just muck things up.

I left the center an oem tweet's running on the sony to hopefully raise the sound stage, an it does help on some song's if i adjust the volume on the cleensweep But you'r right most of the time you can't tell or does not help.

how do you like your polk db651's? I just installed some infiniti kappas and they have great highs and great lows but there is no mid bass. talked to the folks at sonicelectronix.com and they suggested these speakers. curious to see what you thought of the polks

The JLtw3 is 3-1/4 deep and should fit in this sub box without issue. The Kenwood sub I used is 3-3/8 deep and fit ok. But I can't personally guarantee it fit cause I don't have that JL sub, but is should be ok.

I really like the Polk DB691 6x9 they have good mid bass, I've used only Polk speakers for all my car stereo system for many years and never been disappointed.
