Okay , everything is installed . Works great and sounds really good for all stock speakers and an aftermarket head unit .

I have a simple diagram. If you'd like it just PM me.
Why can't you just ground the parking brake with out the toggle switch? Can this be done by the parking brake itself or do you have to remove the dvd nav system to get to the wire?

I'm not sure why but pioneers are slightly different. My Kenwood is the way you describe, I just ground the wire with the other ground for HU and it works fine.

It is about timing. Grounding the wire all the time will not work unless it is a Pioneer model that needs the mute wire pinned to a different spot. Avic411 is good to use for specifics on each model.

The new Pioneers use a double pulse. Can't be done with a toggle switch. One reason I got a Kenwood

Thanks for the replies... What about a stock Nav system can the same be done and if so do you have to get to the back of the nav system wiring itself or can you do it from an easier location. Saw a video seems to be a pain to get to the back of the nav system.
I also have heated seats but hate the butt part heated just want the back to work wonder if that can be done anyone.

Need to use a "lockpick" on factory unit. You should be able to disconnect the seat heat. look underneath for connections.
