Default JVC HU wiring issues

i have an 88 f150 that i bought a few months ago, and put in a new jvc headunit because the stock one wasnt working. so i had it all wired up and all that, working fine. then it just decided to stop working on me,.

all the fuses are still good. and was wondering what might be the problem? im not very good with wiring and all that, so any help would be much appreciated!

Does it still get power? Is the ground good?

It's been a while since I have personally worked on that year truck, but you should see if the cigarette lighter still works, I believe it is on the same fuse circuit. If it works odds are good you are getting 12v to the radio.

With fuses you need to check teh one on the panel in the truck as well as the ones inline on the back of the radio.

If those are all good, then ensuring that it has a solid ground. Perhaps a crimp is loose, solder joint bad, ground point came off etc.
How are the 2 harnesses connected to the factory harness?

took it to the shop to get it figured out, they got it all fixed. i guess my girlfriends brother hooked it up to the wrong fuse or something. haha
