What I have been told is that they will not release this product without full compatibility with all factory systems and this is not possible until Ford finalizes the software they are using in the vehicle. They will not release the trim, the steering wheel harnesses or any cables, or any other portion of the installation hardware until the unit is fully developed and they can release it for sale in North America - at that point, I'm sure some guys will take the hardware to new levels with tablets or other mods - it could get REALLY cool...

That does not make any business sense at all. So they can't make sync reliable because of Ford, Ford can't make it reliable either because it's Micro$oft's red headed step child, who cares? Not me.
What is that metra bezel kit selling for? Couple hundred I seem to recall. There is a market for accessories and they know it. So why would they not want to dip into that market?

Folks, at the rate Advent is going with this one, it won't matter. By the time they get it figured out, the 2015 models will be out, and there will be no more reason to continue with the development of this unit because they will have to focus on the new models. I couldn't agree more that it is crazy that they won't release parts of it, but at the same time I understand that a company wants to maintain a reputation with the customer base by not putting out a crap unit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't SYNC on the other F150 model years since like 2008, and don't they already have advent units for them?
Is the 2013 version of SYNC that much different from the others, what do they do with the OFO1501 model when it's version of SYNC needs an update?
If there's an update on SYNC why cant they just have us upload an update onto a flash drive and update our units that way?
I find it extremely hard to believe that the SYNC system is that much different from 2012 to 2013 that they can't figure this out.
Also doesn't the Metra unit also integrate with SYNC so what are they doing that Advent can figure out?

I just got off the phone with alpine , they said they have a 9inch display with brackets faceplate and idatalink comeing , but it wont be out till june he said its gonna be a big seller kit number x00-9fb .......

Anybody have the password to download the one picture of the unit? Although it's the GM dash, we should be able to get an idea of how well they are integrating the unit into factory dashboards.
