I had the opportunity to install one of these today and it was pretty easy. This kit allows you to upgrade your XLs radio to an aftermarket radio and retain all the OEM features like steering wheel controls and back up camera, etc. It was pretty much plug and play. The screen that comes with that kit can doubles as the screen for the back up camera if you are not installing a radio with a screen and camera input.

I will say that I would bypass the inputs for the front speakers if you are using an amp by cutting the harness and tapping into the front speaker wires down at the plug for the OEM harness. If you want to retain the chimes, take one pair of the front spearer wires that you cut that comes from the metra harness and run them to a 3 &1/2 " speaker that you will place in the OEM center channel location using a dash piece from an XLT. This will play the chimes and chimes only.
