I ordered my Viper remote start and alarm from that site about 8 months ago and the same thing happened to me. They had the lowest price I could find so that's why I ordered from them. But it was like two weeks or something and I didn't have a tracking number or explanation or anything, so I called and emailed a couple of times. One time I wrote him "If you aren't gonna send this to me today or tomorrow just cancel my order and give me my money back" and he replied "just tell us what to do"...... What the hell is that? So I told him fine, refund me my money right now, and he replies "oh we can send this out tomorrow morning"... so they sent it and I got it, but not after a 2-3 week hastle. Needless to say I'll never order from there EVER again.

They need to be investigated for fraud. I am going to take a wild guess and say they are based out of New York. I'll have to see if I can dig some information up on them.

I was wrong...they are out of California. But a search shows they are based out of a shopping plaza. Apparently, from information I gathered, the address is to a PO Box in the shopping center.

I did find a listing for them on the BBB website that states that nearly 1200 complaints have been filed against them through the BBB. You can check it out here: http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Repor...udio-100072683

I checked the California corporations website, but couldn't find anything for a company by that name.

However, upon further research and after doing a reverse lookup of the phone number, it comes back to Gold Star Audio, 16500 Aston Irvine, CA. But there's no corporate listing for that name either.

If I had to guess, this is a small shop that does custom work locally, but turns around and sells what they take out of vehicles. That's probably why they don't send a lot of their stuff out.

No matter what way you look at it, though, they're a rip-off company.

Here's a few links to file complaints:

It doesn't project any right-doing if a company is hiding their contact information on a whois. Now a personal site can use domain ID protection but why would any company do such a thing?

...because they have something to hide. It's kinda like going to a company website and clicking on "contact us" and they have no phone number or address or proper contact info listed.

It blows my mind that after 1200 complaints to the BBB this company still has a website. I could understand if it was a scam and they changed they're domain name every couple months but jesus. http://www.trustlink.org/Reviews/Dea...udio-205972177 That site gave them 1 out of 5 stars based on 128 reviews. And I'm pretty sure giving zero stars isn't an option or they would have zero out of 5. I've personally never been screwed by this company but if they're in California I feel I should find they're offices and get a ski mask and beat the **** out of everyone who works for them.

Just report it to your credit card company and start the process to get your money back.
