Default Anyone have issues with AudioControl amps?

I have an AudioControl LC1200-6 amp, about 5 years old, I bought it with the intentions of doing a sub in my truck that I never bought, I have it only pushing Morel speakers in all 4 doors, and a couple of weeks ago I started smelling hot electrical coming from the amp, and then it stopped working all together. Anyone have something similar happen? I'm sure it's long out of warranty so I'm curious if this has happened to others? Right now I disconnected the harness and yanked the fuse, just using the stock head unit now with no amp.

I had my LC1200.6 just quit working out of the blue around 1-1/2 years ago. It was just over two years old.

I have several in my boat and they have been rocking hard for 5 years...think of THAT environment compared to a car...
