One issue I have not seen addressed - It appears the factory radio does NOT have a remote antenna source. I have my amp coming on with an accessory circuit, but if the radio is off, the amp is still powered. Any ideas? Or am I crazy for keeping the factory radio. Speaker upgrades with a BOSS compact powered sub. Sounds fine for my old ears.

How long do you sit in your truck without the stereo on? You could hook your remote out on the factory stereo to a relay to the amp. I think the factory remote out is only 5v and amps usually need 12v. I think its in the04-08 stickie by Gatorb8.

Did you use a harness to get the low level outputs for your amp? They have a turn on lead also. Do you have a lead from your battery for your amp? You should have 2 power cables. One switched to turn the amp on and off and one from your battery.

Battery power plus I tied into the light green/yellow wire at the fuse block for the turn on power. I'm not too worried because the radio is on most of the time. I was just hoping there was a better option. Thanks for responding.

The factory remote out-Either blue or blue witha white stripe to a relay would be what you want. Might want to check your amps options if it has input sensing on like Wyo11Scab mentioned.
