Aftermarket subwoofers
He guys I'm looking for ppl that are running aftermarket subs in there screws. I have a 13 screw and bought a fox acoustics box for dual 10's. I haven't hooked it ip yet but was thinking of doing 4 8's ? Is it possible does anyone have this setup? Or should I just go with the fox acoustics box

4 8''s will be pretty crisp and should sound good.
2 10''s should thump pretty well, while being a little less crisp/punchy than the 8''s.
I've always had good luck with JL's W3v3 line for both cost effectiveness and sound quality. Anything is possible with the right amount of money, and you'll have to pay close attention to the volume (cubic feet) needs of the 8''s.

There is around 1.7-2 cubes total volume under the factory seat without a seat lift. Shallow cheap subs will work or JLs TW3 or 5s. With the available space you could properly fit 3-4 8s depending on space and your wood working skills. Also depends on the sub. I'm running a soundqubed 8" in 1 cube with around 800 watts and could shake the car next to me without trying.

that looks awesome but I cant really have anything sticking out like that. I have the fox box and think i not be happy with a sealed enclosure. Ive always been a ported/vented fan because of the loudness.
The local shop suggestion Memphis PR or Kicker Comps he said they would work well in the 2.0 cuft shared box I have. And they will get loud.
I have also looked at the RE sx10 too. Def has to be a driver that will work in a smaller enclosure. I will probably line it with a thicker polyfill blanket too and try to get back the displacement of the subs.
any more suggestions.

Do you have the foxacoustics dual 10 ported or sealed box? I thought they only made a dual 10 for the crew cabs. If so any two will work with the correct mounting depth. I've heard you don't want to go too crazy somewhere around 1500 watts or less or the box might not hold up. DC level 2 or 3s. Sundown E or SD line, Alpine a Type Rs, and the list goes on.

I had also thought about making a template to fit over the cut outs and mounts to beefy 8's since i will have only about 2.0 cu ft to work with
Any Sugestions

Im with you on the subs, but Id pass on the Sundown amp. you can get just as much clean power at 1/2 the price. Nothing wrong with sundown, just way too much money

SRx10's are 89
Sr Pros are 79
Kicker (CompS102) 89
its hard to find a shallow mount, that will work in 1.0 cu ft ported.

i like sundown, i have a local dealer. He would have to give me a better deal than what im seeing on the internet. IMO for the price difference in that and the RE SRX or SR pro it will not sound worth it. Youre talking double in price.
