Well, my screen just died yesterday but the unit is getting pulled on Monday.
I will be so glad to see it gone. It has been a sore since day one.
In the meantime I installed a JL amp and 8" sub while I'm waiting for the new Kenwood deck in the new year.
Made a nice upgrade to the sound oddly enough. Bigger difference than I thought it would.

Where are you guys getting these? I am not counting but think we are close to 5 units with issues now looking across the two threads. There is not one review on Crutchfield or anywhere else for that matter (other than here) saying they are not reliable. Are we the first takers?

Not saying they are bad products, but it sure seems as if the issues are a bit above normal. Getting a little gun shy... lol. Mine is still sitting on the office floor waiting to be installed.

I think a couple were refurbished from EBay, not sure. Funny thing is its rosenentertainment selling them and they have great feedback? I don't know maybe it doesn't like Sync?

Odd results for sure. I found 9 in this thread and it looks like 4 went back. Seems a little high but I remember the AVIC forum and Pioneer from my 08. Makes this look like a church choir.

Not sure about Sync. Seems hit or miss with attempts at compatibility regardless of the manufacturer.

Not sure if I will get mine in this weekend or not. Long hours and big project at work may get in the way.

The one I returned was indeed a refurb unit off eBay.
The funny thing is they were very cooperative to take it back. They sent a rma number fast and they are waving the restocking fee.
My advice is go with a Crutchfield new unit.

Question for the guys buying from Crutchfield.

Did yours come in a generic white box or a retail version with color and information. Mine is in a plain white box. Definately not something that would be put on a store shelf for retail sale.

Curious minds want to know .. lol
