Default Adding a New System to my 09 Super Crew

So far the build list looks like this:

Alpine MRX-V70 5 channel
(4) Polk Audio DXi570
(1) 10" Polk Audio DXi 104 Subwoofer
4ga Amp Kit
Supercrewsound single 10" sub box

I have a few questions:

1. Since I will be using the factory head unit, at least for the time being, which line output converter/converter's will I need for the 5 channel amplifier?

2. The Amp kit I'm purchasing comes with 20' of 12ga speaker wire, will that be enough or will I need more? Amp will be mounted to wall behind rear seat.

3. Since I'm adding an amp that will wire straight to the speakers, I don't need the door speaker wire harnesses, correct?

4. I was told to look into sound deadening the doors while the panels are off. Is it really worth it?

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to get some better sound.

20" should be fine for the subs. But you will need 9 strands of at least 16 gauge to go from the amp to the door speakers typical it can wire in behind the radio. For the line level control I would recommend kickers front row system. Gives you all your inputs plus a basic eq. The amp will probably give you a bit of trouble going behind the backseat roar alpine amps are usually very thick u under passenger seat or even behind d the dash might serve better. There is a crap ton of room behind the dash.
The sound dead nervous is nice but not needed. It will male the truck ride quieter and keep the speakers from excessively rattling. But i have never had a prolem with that.

I was actually coming to the forums with a question of my own. I am building a system in my 09 super crew lol. May need an alternator upgrade but can't seem to find one that goes above the factory 130 amp alt...

Sorry for some of the typos. Android swipe texting and funky forum navigation is hard to proof read.

Ok. I pulled the trigger on the system. After reading up more, this is how I decided to go:

JL Audio 700/5 5-channel amp
JL Audio 10w0v3-4 subwoofer
Polk db5251 Component Speakers (Front)
Polk db571 Coaxial Speakers (Rear)
Scosche 4ga Amplifer Kit w/ 2 sets of RCA's
PAC AOEM FRD24 - Ford RCA Harness
100' 14ga speaker wire
6x8 - 5.25 Speaker Adapter (Front)
36 sq. ft. of Dynamat (Doors) IF I have extra Rear Wall
JL Remote Level Control for Bass ****
2x RCA single female to dual male splitter

I'm going to have a local audio shop do a custom box hopefully that will fit just under the passenger seat (I saw another member on here do it and it looked clean).

I plan to install the tweeter in the door panel near the top, triangular part. The crossover will sit inside the door panel.

The only thing I still have left to purchase is the stuff to make the amp rack (MDF, saw, mounting hardware, carpet). I plan to just purchase this at my local hardware store.

Anyone see any flaws, things I forgot, or things I should be aware of?

Thanks

They give you more insulation than wire.
It's cheap wire.

Scoche does sell low quality kits. The link provided is not such. It's listed as being AWG and (pure Oxygen Free Copper).

You should use a 60amp fuse and not the 120mp one provided.

Zip ties

Have you already purchased the items listed?

Yes. But all can be canceled before Monday.

One of the things I'be noticed is that I probably should go with a 2 ohm subwoofer. I am thinking about doing a kicker CVT10". It's shallow mount and 2 ohm to match the resistance of the amplifier.

Yes the amp will put out more watts at 2ohms.
I would want to put 6.5" speakers in the front. There quite a bit larger that the 5.25 you picked.
