Hey guys
So I have a 97 xlt that had the tape player stereo stock. My question is when I went to replace the stereo the dash kit said put it so the storage compartment was under the stereo but there is a bracket that would get in the way of the stereo. Is there a write up or anything that anyones done on installing one in a 97-03?

 

Mine is installed above the radio. What dash kit are you using?

 

Same dash kit. I put the stereo above the extra slot though. I finally got it in. There was a rail that the stock head unit slid along to keep it mounted and I just unbolted and cut that out and put my deck in I just need a stereo sleeve now to complete it it's kind of loose right now
