Sirikenewtron stuff those pillars with some 3M Thinsolate for better frequency response and to dampen outside noise more. It will help with the front stage a bit as well.

Care to share what the rest of your gear is?

A question I have … did you have to modify the speaker opening on the backside of the a pillar?

thanks for the response and suggestions.
Not a whole lot of fabrication to get them to fit, actually fit surprisingly well. I did use some plastic I had laying around and formed it with a heat gun for a bracket that screws into the factory mounting locations but I’ve heard people also use the mounting equipment that comes with theGB15'S.

I’ve changed everything out one time already but now what I’m running and I think my final set up is:
Ia Helix p6 mk2 and an audiocontrol lc-1.800 for my subs, 2 kenwood 10" excelons, which eventually one day I will be upgrading.
Then for rear fill I have hertz Centro coaxial.

for sound treatment I have one layer of cdl on floorboard, back wall, inside of outerdoor skins, inside of door skins then another layer of closed cell foam over everything except for the COD on the inside of the exterior door skin. I also have about 45 black hole tiles in the front doors then some block off plates. for the Gb60’s I have the silicone rings as well as closed cell foam around them.

copied and pasted from my list:Factory 8" sync 3 head unit retained
Also have DAC which I sometimes use as a source to completely bypass factory head unit

*Full Active

-Hertz-CX-165 Centro coaxial in the rear doors

-Audiofrog GB15'S installed in the factory tweeter location

-Audiofrog GB60's mids in front doors

-2 Kenwood-Excelon-10" downfire sub boxes

-Helix p6 mk2 running everything full active

-Audiocontrol lc-1.800 amp for the subs

-CLD On all doors Inside and out, back wall and floor board.

-Closed cell foam layer over sound deadening throughout

-URC.3 remote *****

Just moved my Helix URC.3 ***** the other day for a more custom look and more easily accessible when I’m using the DAC and have to use the ***** for master volume

The black hole tiles, I have sent added more in each door

This is the only picture I have of the door sound treatment, back when I had my hertz milie pros

As you can see it fits pretty nicely it’s snug but it fits
