I had 2 w7 8's forward firing under the seat in my Nissan Titan crew back in the day on a jl 1000, sounded pretty good but I was always worried about my kids feet going in the cone lol so I likely won't try it with my f150 lol

I will soon. They have to order the sub for me and it may take up to two weeks

I disagree. It depends on the sub that you choose to fit under the seat. A box has to be made no matter what. That can depend on other factors such as using 3/4 or 1/2 mdf. It all does not rely on a table saw. It relies on mathematics.

I have two 10" jl audio w3v3 subs in a down fire box now. Hit harder than the four 8" kickers I had. My box has a small port on one side

Yes they will fit. I have one shallow JL 13.5in sub down firing in a custom box underneath the rear seat. The only thing I had to do was to raise the rear seat for the box to slide back in order to fit flush. 8in subs and 10 in subs wasn't enough for me.

You must have not tried many 8" subs then. I had a tw5 for 3 days and got rid of it. Not worth the money at all.

I agree. I have two 10" jl audio under my seat. Not shallows and they sound better than the shallow jl audio subs. Never really been a fan of shallows but everyone has there own opinion.
