Default 2013 Amp & Sub Install

I have a 2013 FX2 without The Sony system. It does have the my ford sync 4.2 inch screen. I have looked and I can't find someone removing the dash to get to the radio. Can someone post some information or another link to another discussion. I just don't want to break anything because I missed a screw. Thanks!

Theres a thread on here that describes it if you search. Worked well, gotta take out the airbag and loosen the dash bezel. I took the dash apart tonight, removed the radio and found out that my PAC FRD24 does not work with my 2013 xlt dash. Oh well, I'll have to find out another way now...

I had the same problem it did not fit my 2013. I was able to tap into the rear speakers with a lineout converter and also was able to use a tap a fuse to get the remote wire.

This how to for dash removal worked for me. https://www.f150forum.com/f98/2013-f...-gauge-184627/

How did you identify which we're the rear speaker leads? Colors? Plan to do this today.

Where did you end up mounting your amp? I'm thinking behind the rear seat or under the front passenger seat.

Yep there are a couple videos on YouTube that works on dash removal. For the speaker wires these matched up for the rears. http://www.intyss.com/downloads/2010F150AUDIO.pdf I ended up folding down the rear passenger seat and mounted it behind. My amp was very small (JL Audio 500 LX). I tapped into fuse #38 for the remote wire. Works like a champ.
