2012 FX4 stock b/u display on aftermarket head unit issues?
I'm considering upgrading the stock radio with the backup camera in the rear view mirror to a NAV head unit (Kenwood DNX575S). Crutchfield told me that if I tap into the exiting video feed for screen in the rear view mirror that the display on the new unit would be distorted and useless. Has anyone who has upgraded their existing system experienced this? They say the solution is to purchase an aftermarket camera system.
