Unless you do a seat lift, the 12s are going to be too deep to fit under the seats. The type-r is gonna be about 2 inches too deep

A great combination is the fox acoustics ported box with the type-r 10. They make the box for either 1 or 2 subs and a few folks here have had great results with them

Sounds perfect for what I was after. Deep bass that doesn't feel tight and punchy in your head. Its a deeper squeeze in my stomach, if that makes sense. Won't win any bass SPLcontests, but that's not what it is made for anyways. Its a shallow mount sub that just sounds good, and I couldn't be happier.

The BM is probably the best shallow sub out there. Pricy though. In a situation where you dont need a shallow, i would look at the sundown sd2 10. Two of them are about the price of one BM and will fit easily under the crewcab seats. Its what i would be using if i didn't have my old school MTXs

What do they run for a shallow mount 10?
