Wrecked in Transit
I ordered a new F150 back in march and was supposed to get it yesterday. Come to find out it was wrecked when loading or unloading it from the railcar. Basically it getting new front and back bumpers and new radiator, all together its about 5k in repair. I just don't know what to do! Do i ask for a discount or not take it and order a new one? I don't know if they'll give me a discount. I just don't want to wait another 5 months for a new truck. PLEASE HELP!
Ask for a $10,000 price break for diminished value. LOL
Ask the salesperson what they would do. If they say "it's no big deal, I'd still buy it", then you probably know you should walk away.
Sorry, just had to take a stab at tactics by sales staff (although I disagree with doing so).

you can ask for a discount but I wouldnt expect much. Usually that kinda stuff doesn't show up in car fax etc...
kind of unsure how it's getting just a radiator and not an AC condenser and such as well, I would want photos of the damage and an extensive list of parts to be replaced.

I would refuse it, no amount of money will (would me) comfort and I would always be concerned about some future rattle etc....besides, your not gonna get it anyway when they can sell it for full pop to someone else. JMO
thats the radiator shutters because the grille got smashed, not the radiator itself.
If I didnt really need that truck Id probably let it go personally. That list would be a hell of a lot shorter if it werent for all the little sensors so doesnt seem as bad structually but still
