Default whats up?

Hey guys, I am new here, obviously anyways I am in the market for a new truck. I am looking at 9th gen f150's and what a regular cab, short bed with the 4.9l I6 and a 5 speed manual. Not really looking for 4wd, but I wont say no. I just want to look around and get a little more info. I know quite a bit already, just technical stuff I need to know. I want to throw a mild lift on the truck, 4" and some 33" tires. and we'll go from there anyways here's the truck I am going to look at tomorrow.

Welcome. I had a 1996 4.9L (last year for them) that I put a 3 inch lift on and some 33x12.50x15 tires. I went with a 3.55 rear though, the 2.73 was to stiff for my liking, even though the big six pulled it just fine, I wanted to quit slipping the clutch so much on take off. I had that truck just before I got the 2001.

I don't know abut anyone else, but that truck was the best one I owned, better so far than my 01 supercrew. I didn't EVER have trouble with that truck, dunno why. I had coil issues with the 01 though already, no major issues though.

Don't plan on winning a race with it, but it WILL definitely work to pull trailers and haul stuff. Good luck and welcome to the site.

Justin
