Default Upgrading from a '96

Hello all,

I recently sold my 1996 F250 7.3L 4X4 after 400,000 miles. Moved to a Tacoma to help facilitate city parking, but it has proved too small. I'm joining the forum to aid my quest in acquiring a current gen f150. It appears to be the truck for my needs, but I'll still take all the help I can get finding it, buying it and owning it. Fords have been in my family for my entire life and all of them have served us very well, I am looking forward to my first 21st Century Ford.

Thanks for the kind words! The Taco has been a good little truck, but it's become clear I need something with a larger cab and better safety ratings/features for the family. It was a big change going from an 8' bed to a 5.5', but I've acquired a trailer and learned to be creative with tow straps, and the increased maneuverability is a definite plus in town. But I do miss the towing capacity of the 7.3L. With all of that in mind I test drove a 2018 3.5L, screw, 5.5 bed and I think that might be the truck for me.
