Tire
Hey guys/gals
im zach new to this whole trucking modification thing. I have had a chevy silverado single cab 1500 (2003) prior but never did much modifications to it. Always stock. I know a few things but i am still fairly new to this world.
*** My truck: Ford F-150 2018 XLT Screw 3.5L v6 Ecoboost.
**********My question prior to any type of lift/leveling kit i want to see if i can get more clearance with a bigger tire, what is the tallest/biggest tire i can put on a stock18” rim? My tire size now is 265/60R18. I have heard conflicting reports of 305/70/r18 and 295/75/R18. I want to get the tallest/biggest tire i can with this stock 18” rim without rubbing.
Thank you 🙏

Hey there.
Head on over to the leveling thread and browse for a bit.
A lot of threads are titled with the tire size already listed.
If you choose not to do that, just keep in mind your ground clearance will increase by 1/2 the amount in change in diameter.
So figure if you increase the tire by 2, you'll net only 1" of ground clearance, step in height and truck lift. By this point, tire size will change in factions of an inch and of course the changes will appear less significant.
So yeah, head on over to the leveling thread and poke around.
FYI: 18" wheel is irrelevant, just do the math to get the equivalent dimension for the 20" wheels. Meaning if a person installs 305/50-20, you can figure out a 305/xx-18 is the same.
