Ticking noise only on acceleration

Hi, I have a 2010 F-150 and I'm experiencing a ticking noise only when my truck is in gear an accelerating. Any ideas of what this could be?

check heat shields, manifolds, plugs etc

Just had the plugs replaced 2 days ago.. Checked manifolds everything seemed good.

then id be suspicious of the plugs

It was making the noise prior to getting the new plugs. The mechanic I took it to thought it was the plugs but that didn't change a thing
