i've always considered myself a chevy man but the best trucks ive ever ownd was a ford. I recently bought a 2003 F150XL swd long bed regular cab for $600. The engine runs and smokes very little only on startup....although it sat for a year. It has a terrible knock that quiets down and only gets worse under load...tomorrow im checking the flex plate as mine sounds exactly like the vidz ive seen on you tube...hopinf to change a flex plate instead of an engine. Im a HVAC mechanic for a large mechanical contractor in knoxville tn and 46 years old.
