Salutations
Hello everyone, first off I have just recently purchased a red 2006 F150 FX4 SuperCab 4x4 5.4L V8 - leather seats and console shifter. All stock as far as I can see at this point.
I am from Missouri, a small town north of Kansas City. I have only owned one truck, an 02 S10 crew cab. And might I add, after driving this truck for only two days, I can already tell that I have been missing out on something special for a very long time. I have mostly owned small turbo cars, such as an Eagle Talon TSi, Mitsubishi 3000gt TT, MazdaSpeed 6, and most recently a Dodge Neon SRT-4. I sold the Neon and have been looking for a truck for quite some time. I set out to budget my spendings to only $5000, in order to get away from payments and pay with cash. I pulled into a small dealer lot to look at a lifted Chevy I saw while driving by and while walking through just happened to stop and look at this big red Ford. I got really interested, as the eye catching looks made me curious. I took a test drive and fell in love immediately. The ride was extremely smooth, engine purred like a kitten, and the interior is so comfortable I think I could live in it. The next day I was driving home in it, not having ever owned something as nice as this, payments or not. Needless to say, I forgot all about the Chevy and in fact never even saw it!
I did some Google searching for information on the truck, such as best first upgrades, maintenance and cleaning information, common problems, etc.. and every time I would click on something it would bring me back to these forums, so I felt it was only right to join! I will be browsing regularly and will be posting many questions, some not so intelligent I'm sure so take it easy on me! I look forward to hearing from everyone and taking as much advice as I can to care for my new truck!
