Default Replacement for the plastic yellow drain plug?

I just changed the oil on my 2017 F-150 Lariat, 3.5 ecoboost. I've been servicing my vehicles for over 50 years and never ran into such a poorly designed engine oil drain system. One quarter turn on that yellow plastic plug and it pops out, draining the oil pan in about 15 seconds.
Does anyone know of an aftermarket replacement for this plug that would allow a controlled drain of the engine oil?
Thanks - Ron

Tongue in cheek response: Yes, the truck. I am told that the 2019 models and some of the 2018 F-150's went back to the aluminum oil pan and a drain bolt. But I have yet to find anybody that can verify this is the case. I sure hope so!

That said, the Ronin one at $80 is a lot less expensive than the above solution. :-)

Welcome. I agree the plastic yellow plug sucks. I bought the above mentioned Ronin plug and I love it...

I picked up two new plugs for $2.33 each at the local Ford dealership in Fredericksburg, VA. My problem was that the truck is too tall to put on ramps and open the hood in my garage. So I paid a local shop to change the oil for me, using the Mobile One 5W30 synthetic I'd already bought.
