Default Regular Cab, Shortbed Forever!

Hello all! Great forums here! So before I was old enough to drive, we've always had regular cab/shortbed Chevys in the family. Over the years, I've had a couple of S-10s and a couple of Silverados. Been a while since I bought a new truck but I'm in the mood. So looking around, I'm shocked to find out you can't even get a regular cab shortbed from Dodge or Chevy anymore. Only Ford. And that's fine with me as I really like the look of some of the performance editions of the F-150 reg cab/shortbed that dealerships offer. So, I've been photoshopping some ideas of what I'd like to do. Here's a couple.
And yes, the blue one has 1970s style Mach 1 centers and bands for an old school look. I'm not even sure that is even possible. lol But if I do make the plunge, I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time here for all the great info available!

.
The short bed, ( 5 1/2' ), is only available on the Scab & Screw platforms, the regular cab gets a ( 6 1/2' ) bed..

The blue one looks great! If you could find the rims and trim rings that would be one unique set-up.

I have ave always liked the regular cab short bed, and by short bed it is mostly understood that it is the shortest bed for that configuration, which is the 6-1/2 foot bed. My first one was an 08, drove it for 11 years and now in a 2019 and really enjoying it. There is a thread in the 2015 and up section, lots of great looking trucks to be seen, come on over!

I love the blue one! That would be seriously cool. This reminds me of a truck I saw in San Diego almost 2 years ago. This is NOT Photoshop.

I've seen some old Ford trucks with that setup and when done right, they looked awesome. As for a 2019, I'm not sure if anyone makes a 17", 6-bolt wheel that you could fit those Mach 1 centers on but I imagine if the money is right, it can be done. lol

If that's the topic SPOAT posted a link to, that's 231 pages of reg cab info to browse through! Awesome! Thanks.

I was not attempting to give a smartasss comment as there are different bed sizes for the different configurations and the short bed term is typically applied as the configuration in which is being referenced, so technically you can’t get the shortest bed made but I believe you already know that. But To be honest a truck could look pretty mean with the regularcab and 5-1/2 bed, almost like a Bronco.

For sure the center caps will be the problem.

Yep, the thread that Spoat linked. Lots of great looking trucks and tons of useful info dedicated to one pretty specific configuration.

This forum in general is a great resource for anything F150, many great members for support.

Oh, no. I didn't think that. I was thanking you for responding to the nit-picking comment above yours about a 5 1/2' bed. I think everyone here understands what is meant by 'regular cab/shortbed'. lol No worries!

Pay no attention to everything you read here. LOL

EVERYONE knows what a regular cab SHORT BED is.....It's NOT a regular cab LONG BED!
